Foreign investment can take the following forms:
- Setting up companies in accordance with current legislation and regulations;
- Contributing capital to a company at the outset;
- Contributing capital to an existing company;
- Subscribing to new rights issues by an existing company;
- Setting up a branch or a representative’s office;
- Purchasing Moroccan real estate property;
- Contributions to partners’ assets in cash or commercial debt;
- Non-remunerated short-term financial contribution;
- Hard currency credits contracted under international financial market conditions;
- Acquisition of real estate property or rights or use over such property;
- Financing construction work from own resources;
- Contributions in kind (land, buildings, stocks and shares, etc.). These transactions can be carried out in all sectors of economic activity as long as the investors comply with current Moroccan legislation covering the chosen sector.
